Scary
I don't know what I find scarier. Ken's need to express his joy for High School Musical in his best of CD
Or the fact that the song is better than those he submitted by some of his musical heroes.
The Tuesday Spigot Music Club's reviews on now and past recordings that should be followed implicitly by the masses.

Have a 12, 10 and 7 year old in your house and escape High School Musical? Not a chance. After having to watch and listen to it all year I would be lieing if I didn't put that song on the disc. No one can say it's a horrible song. The second comment I will not comment on as it shows you are an ignorant slut.
Sorry homeboy, that dog don't hunt. 3 of mine are in that age group and I never even heard of it until your best-of.
My kids are listening to the Drive by Truckers, old Elvis Costello and the Drams.
Its called raising your kids properly...
Okay, how many of your kids are female?
slut maybe, ignorant never and be real Ken we know you find all the leads dreamy. Maybe you'll get lucky and win a free date with a cast member
Ken,
Just want to be sure I am reading your inference correctly. It sounds to me that you are saying that females by nature have inferior music taste.
Care to expound on that theory?
Okay, first off...major props to Mike on having kids who listen to good music.
I'm going to completely ignore the issue of female's having inferior music taste...but I will say this, my 8 (almost 9) year old niece hates that tripe "High School Musical"/Disney Channel/kid shit. Her favorites are Green Day, The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, Pink. My 12 year old cousin Shannon listens to AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, etc.
Ken, please don't make generalizations about young females just because you failed to educate your children on good music. ;)
You people are piece of work. I think you should all apply at Fox News as you are all adept at spinning things.
I would bet the farm (and Mike's farm)that my chillins hear more eclectic music than most. Just because they got into the HS Musical thing (which by the way was the #1 selling album this year) doesn't dilute their musical education. As a father I participated and supported their interest and happened to actually have one song become a guilty pleasure- and lets face it we all have garbage in our musical closets. It is easy fellow music snobs, to castigate something we don't know- so as a challenge I request you that cast judgement watch the movie. Take it for what it is (a updated, family version of Grease) and then spew your comments.
As for the good vs. bad music- there is no such argument, and I will argue that point til I'm rotting underground.
You're just so damn cute when you get your dander up.
I have no garbage in my musical closet. Now please excuse me, I have to go flip my Bangles tape over.
Ah but there is the rub. I have taken the time to watch it. as a fan of pop culture I thought I would see what all the hype was. Therefore I stick by my original comments.
As for being the number one cd of the year I belive bands like Asia, Nsync and Brittany Spears all have topped that list at some point. Now they must also be classics by your logic.
